Dear Vance Ginn:
I learned of your Substack from an email you sent announcing your joining Young Americans for Liberty. I liked what I saw.
A fatal weakness plaguing America is the failure to explain and champion capitalism in understandable language to a general audience. This has allowed socialists to “educate” young people and their teachers for at least 40 years.
As remedy, the first principles of capitalism must be taught enthusiastically, in ordinary language, to broad audiences, and to every generation to come. Otherwise, winning one or two election cycles, the normal life span of “red waves,” just won’t be enough if the wins are based primarily on socialists’ failures. Socialists are widely entrenched, have deep roots, and will come storming back once things start going wrong under Republicans, especially as socialist failures fade from memory and Republicans practice “big-government conservatism.”
To teach capitalism and discredit big-government socialisms, I wrote two posts in my Substack “The Menelaus Gambit (Seeing Beneath the Illusions),” with more to come. They most decidedly are worth your consideration. https://ernestdlieberman.substack.com/s/political-economy
I am world-class at writing words with substance that move people. You probably never heard of me, but my words became the most effective themes used by both Bill Clinton and Ross Perot in 1992 (“high-skill, high-pay jobs,” and “the madness of subsidizing foreign competition”). Unfortunately, both men reversed my meaning. I showed that American workers could compete; professional mis-management was at fault (based on my book “Unfit to Manage!” McGraw-Hill, 1988, with book-jacket endorsements from Tom Peters, Bayard Rustin, and John Kenneth Galbraith).
Using my words and formulations to foster capitalism can promote both individual liberty and national liberty; very consistent with “America First.”
Additionally, my play “Penelope and Odysseus” shows how Penelope and Odysseus brilliantly defended their liberty, triumphing over great evil by virtue of superior character. https://ernestdlieberman.substack.com/s/penelope-and-odysseus
For everyone’s benefit, I have several posts on how highly researched, natural anti-infectives can ward off or ameliorate many infections, which, not coincidentally, fosters health liberty by reducing dependence on high-cost, big-government medicine, especially when it becomes medical totalitarianism. https://ernestdlieberman.substack.com/s/health
Promoting these forms of liberty can be instrumental in making America great again. Please look at my posts and consider how I can help the cause.
I am glad you joined YAL. I never got a sense from YAL’s emails and website what YAL specifically teaches. You appear to be an excellent spokesman and strategist for promoting classical liberalism. Your efforts are vey much needed.
