I hope you’re well! I just returned home from a great road trip with the family in Denver. It was nice to refresh and be ready to continue the fight to let people prosper. Here are several of my latest interviews and commentaries that I think you’ll appreciate.
The property tax relief fight continues to heat up in Texas during the second special session. I’ve been battling this with the Lieutenant Governor and others for what should be the best property tax relief for everyone. This is an extraordinary discussion to have in Texas as there will be at least $12.3 billion in new relief over the upcoming two fiscal years, which is more than any other state is considering and possibly more than all of the other states combined.
Here’s my interview on CBS News 11 DFW where I make the point that Texas can eliminate property taxes.
Here’s my interview on ABC 13 Houston “This Week In Texas” where I’m paired with Lt. Governor Dan Patrick and we make different points on what’s the best path forward.
Here’s my interview on The Texan News about how the best path is to eliminate property taxes through compression, which is what Governor Greg Abbott has supported.
This can be done by simply spending less, which the Texas Legislature passed the largest biennial budget increase in Texas history, acting more like California than Texas.
